Lisk has recently announced a strategic step forward in their journey: an Integration with the Ethereum ecosystem as a Layer 2 (L2) solution. This move marks a significant change as the Lisk team aims to address local challenges in Emerging Markets by facilitating solutions around real-world assets (RWA), off-chain assets (OCA), and decentralized physical infrastructure networks (DePIN), all on-chain.
The upcoming Lisk ecosystem chain will be powered by Optimism’s OP Stack and built on Gelato’s Rollup as a Service platform. This strategic partnership offers developers access to proven tooling and delivers a familiar web2-like experience for their users. By embracing Optimism’s Superchain vision, Lisk becomes the first Layer 1 (L1) blockchain to commit to this groundbreaking technology.
While Lisk embarks on this transformative journey to integrate with Ethereum as an L2 solution, our commitment to advancing the Lisk L1 ecosystem remains unchanged.
In parallel with our integration efforts, the Faet team continues to push forward in the development of the Faet Blockchain, a sidechain connected to the Lisk ecosystem. As we announce our first milestone towards the testnet release, we reaffirm our dedication to building the largest blockchain gaming platform in the entire web3 industry.
Faet Blockchain Goal #1 of Milestone 3 towards Testnet Release
In this first milestone towards our testnet launch, we have accomplished two primary goals.
First, we have successfully implemented our password security system. Players can now encrypt their stored seed phrase. This allows them to easily and securely sign transactions without having to re-input their passphrase for each instance. This of course, is an optional feature, and Players can maintain optimum security by reinputting their seed passphrase for each transaction.
Second, was the implementation of the in-game wallet management and functionality. This includes a Wallet View which can be accessed from the game’s main menu. This allows the users to the ability to check their wallet balance as well as send and receive Faet Token transactions to other Players.
These are two important features and stepping stones to integrate features such as P2P trading within the game world.
With these accomplishments, Faet has completed a giant leap forward towards the successful launch of the Faet Platform!
